My name is Alex Vlad, I was born on 26th of June 1989 in Sighetu Marmatiei, a town up in the North part of Romania at the border with Ukraine, just before the fell of the communist regime in December of 1989.
I was raised by my mother since I was one year old. I was baptized in the Lutheran Church, but I never attend any church until the age of 13 when I meet a born again christian who became my best friend.
I became a true christian, I was born again in 2003 after a serious talk with my best friend about the sinful life I use to live and realising that trough Christ alone I can be saved.
After believing in what Jesus did for me at the cross, I knew that the purpose of my life is to bring Him glory and honor in what ever way He would want me to. Not long after becoming a believer I knew God was calling me into ministry. I did not knew exactly where God will take me, but I trusted in Him that he will provide and guide my steps.
In 2008 I decided that I need to train and learn how to be efficient in ministry so I started my studies at the Baptist Seminary in Bucharest in pastoral theology. In 2013 continued with my masters degree at the University of Bucharest - The Faculty of Baptist Theology.
Until May 2017 I was the assistant pastor of Agapia Baptist Church in Bucharest a Church plant that started in 2010.
I am currently the youth pastor of Providence Baptist Church.
I am happily married to Madalina since 18th July 2015 and we have a baby boy named Theo Caleb who was born on 18th of April 2017.
I was born in a christian family, I went to Church all my life, but I did not know Christ until I was in high school. I started going in a new christian community in my hometown. That is where I learned that I need to have a relationship with Christ, Jesus became my best friend, my Savior and Redeemer.
I love children, and working with children. Thats one of the reasons I decided became a teacher.
I love working with children with special needs, orphans and gipsy kids. In my 3 years of collage I volunteered with a foundation "Pas cu pas" (step by step) that works with orphans.
I also went to Uganda for one month to teach and help the children there. I love missions, for a lot of years I translated for other that came in short missions in Romania, but now I love being the one that goes in to missions.
I also understand I have to live a missional live in the community God placed me in for the following period of time.
I am a graduate of Babes-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca. I am licensed in primary school and kindergarten teaching.
I worked at a private kindergarten, but now I am a full-time mother.
